Job Description:

INTRODUCTION: Our client, A Karachi-based company operates  as the storage terminal for handling Bulk Oil / Petroleum Products, designed to cater to the oil industry's Petroleum import/export needs.

Department: Operations / Operations & Maintenance
Reports to:
CEO
Location:
Karachi - Port Qasim

O&M Department will be managed by Terminal Manager. He/She will be directly report to Chief Executive Officer on matters pertaining to O&M. also, wherein he will lend complete support to him by implementing the company policies in this regard.

Following are the core responsibilities but not just limited to:

Operational Responsibilities:

  • To head and manage the Operation and Maintenance.
    Ensure efficient, economical, safe, and secure operation of the terminal.
  • Instruct operating plans for the terminal.
  • Monitor track of losses in petroleum product stored in storage tanks.
  • Monitor and ensure the operations and maintenance expense are within
    approved budget.
  • Ensure all compliance of IMS.
  • Ensure smooth & effective running of 0&M Department.
  • Ensure that all incoming correspondence pertaining to O&M are properly attended to.
  • Review staff performance. In case of fresh appointments, initial interview and recommendation.
  • Standard Operating Procedures to be prepared, kept updated and followed.

Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure facility is trouble free and is in 100% operating capacity.
  • Ensure the tank inspection and maintenance performed as per API.
  • Ensure the maintenance is performed as per Annual Maintenance Plan.
  • Standard Operating Procedures are prepared, kept updated and followed.
  • Review Vendor Data and ensure proper inventory level of spares is
    maintained, develop budgeting.
  • Review surplus material, its accountability and retention.

IMS Responsibilities:

Terminal Manager has been appointed by the Chief Executive Officer as the Management Representative (MR) organisation's Integrated management system (IMS). The MR in addition to his normal duties shall be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the Integrated Management System requirements are established implemented and maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015J, ISO 45001:2018, ISO-14001:2015 and other subscribed Standards.
  • Reporting on the performance of Integrated Management System to top
    management for review which serves as a basis of improvement.
  • Liaison with external parties on matters related to IMS issues.
  • Ensuring promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
